Who is it for?
Families where parents would like a profile for their child/children to understand their learning styles and issues and want to engage in the experience themselves. The weekend is not generally suitable for children under seven or children who become very stressed in group situations.
Individuals who would like a profile to help explain their functioning, what is special about them and what might be holding them back.
Therapists/Professionals who would like to explore the possibilities of True Expressions Profiling systems.
True Expressions Profilers/Providers, trained or in training, who want to gain experience in group assessment situations.
What is it?
True Expressions Profiling developed hand in hand with ground-breaking new systems designed to correct any blocks to processing revealed by the assessment process. These systems will be explained and demonstrated and case histories presented. The profiling weekend is most suitable for those who are committed to addressing underlying issues and developing their full and unique potential. The assumption is that the mainstream system of categorising dysfunctions as permanent and giving a label and long-term support is often not appropriate. True Expressions is about identifying and removing the stressors which are preventing an individual from becoming the person they should be and making their unique contribution to the world. All of us are held back in some way and the Profiling system is appropriate for people of all abilities.
What will I learn?
Participants will be involved in using a wide range of assessment techniques to reveal their processing styles and areas which may be currently blocked. Adults test children, children test adults and the assessment day is designed to be fun, although it has a very serious side and people will find out things about their processing that mainstream assessment techniques do not reveal. The first day is for assessment and moves quickly with a minimum of explanation and discussion so that the children remain engaged. The second day is just for adults and focuses on explaining the profiles which emerge and methods of successfully addressing underlying issues. The True Expressions intervention programmes are explained and demonstrated. Assessment reports will be provided for all those who want them. Well-behaved children can also be accommodated on this day.
